Wild recently partnered with Adidas in a campaign to launch their new range of Techfit Period Proof tights.
Adidas recently launched their line of Techfit Period Proof tights. Through the tagline of "Stay in Play", they aimed to increase awareness about training while on your period by conducting grassroots, community-driven activations, with the the vision to normalise the conversation about periods and menstrual cycles.
The team from Adidas approached Wild to be an educational partner, when it came to highlighting the topic of recovery during menstruation. Massage chairs and guns and stretching mats were available to the attendees through various activation campaigns, and Wild provided the knowledge and insights on how recovery tools and stretching modalities work for easing period symptoms, and how best to incorporate them. The goal of the messaging was to educate athletes on the effect their periods have on their bodies and the benefit that recovery tools can provide during their periods to encourage them to "Stay In Play".
The campaigns included women and girls from Girls Academy Football, USA Volleyball and Adidas Runners LA, encompassing 30,000 athletes across all activations. A great quote captured from the event was:
"It’s so cool how we’re being so honest about your period and making it not a taboo topic."
